• How old do I have to be to work as a guard?

 You will need to be 18 years of age and holds valid SPP - licence B and a Certificate of Quality Assurance System Compliance (QAS).

• I would like to work at Securitas, how do I apply?

 Via the Securitas website Find Your Career page or walk-in to our office at Cheung Sha Wan and fill out the Application Form.

• Is there any upper age limit to work as a guard at Securitas?

 No.

Recruitment Process

Here are some responses to the most frequently asked questions about Securitas’ recruitment process:

• What kind of documents do I need to bring to the interview?

SPP, QAS, HKID card, Photo, certificates and reference letters, etc.

• What is Securitas recruitment process - step by step?

Complete the Application Form and you will be invited to an interview.  Check all relevant documents, HKID Card / Working Permit, SPP, QAS.  If you successfully secure a post, you are required to attend a one-day orientation / induction training.  All appointments are subject to being able to satisfactorily complete a 3 years security screening requirement.  This requires your personal data to be checked for the purpose of the security screening.

• Do I need to have a basic security guard training in order to work at Securitas? 

Yes, all security guard need to obtain the QAS certificate and attend a one-day orientation training before working for us.

• Where do I get my basic security guard training? 

All Employees Retraining Board (ERB) associations and institutes that organizes the QAS course.

Wage and Working Hours

Here are some responses to the most frequently asked questions about wage and working hours as guard at Securitas:

• What do I get paid when working as a guard? 

Basically on a monthly package but also paid on hourly rate.  The salary packages vary from site to site.

• Do I get paid during the basic guard training? 

No.

• What are the working hours working as a guard? 

8-12 hours depending on the requirements of the post.

• Can I choose to work full time, part time or have a temporary employment? 

Yes and depends on the vacancies available at the time.

• Do I work alone as a guard or together with colleagues? 

Most sites are multi-manned but on some occasion, you may be required to work on a single manned site.
